Xero’s Too Hard Basket campaign played off a familiar feeling for small business owners, when admin starts piling up and gets pushed aside.
The display unit opened with a simple question, asking users how they wanted to deal with it. Choosing either option led to a tailored experience within the ad, shaping the message around their response rather than forcing a single path.
By letting users self-select, the execution made the problem feel relatable and the solution feel more relevant. A light, choice-led approach to a very real business pain point.
This example demonstrates a full-screen interstitial. I also developed multiple banner sizes that expand to full screen on tap, without redirecting users away from the web or app experience.
